The volume of exports of major arms has also declined relative to a decade ago, although National Conventional Arms Control Committee (NCACC) figures show a massive spike in munition exports in 2023. Export data from Stockholm International Peace Research Institute suggest the export figure from the NCACC for 2023 may have been a misprint.
