SARB Historical Food Price Forecasts

Today’s post by Oliver Guest shows that SARB’s latest projections assume that food inflation in South Africa will rise to almost 5%, before shifting structurally lower. As we showed in an earlier post, historically, food inflation in South Africa has been much higher than the new target (averaging 6.3% since 2009).
