After pausing the publication of provincial GDP estimates for South Africa, Statistics South Africa yesterday released updated provincial GDP estimates. These estimates show that the Western Cape, Kwa-Zulu Natal and Gauteng have had the fastest economic growth since 2013 at only 1.1% per year, on average. In 2022, Gauteng and the Western Cape experienced the fastest GDP growth.
