Historical IMF forecast errors for US, AU, NZ, Japan and SA

We are pleased to publish a new Public Finance Chartpack that describes historical IMF forecast errors for the US, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and South Africa. The charts compare IMF forecast errors for GDP growth, inflation, debt-to-GDP and population growth. Year T is current year, T+1 is one-year ahead and T+2 two years ahead. IMF forecast errors for South Africa have been low by global standards.

The chartpack is publicly available here.

This demonstrates how EconData’s IMF module can be used to keep sophisticated public finance analysis up to date. Get in touch if you are interested in subscribing to EconData.
