Today’s post by Aidan Horn shows that informal employment totals less than half of formal employment in South Africa. We showed in an earlier post that total employment has risen around 15% rise since 2009Q1, compared to around 6% for informal employment. The labour force, on the other hand, has risen by over 30% since then.
