Today’s post by Jason Vermaak and Johan Hanekom shows that for Germany Dornfelder and Scheurebe varietals tend to have the highest median price and highest median rating on Vivino. Sauvignon Blanc stands out as the lowest price-ratings category. For Canada, on the other hand, Pinot Gris and Grigio tend to have the highest median price and highest median rating on Vivino. Ice Wine stands out as the lowest price-ratings category.
In this earlier post we uncorked a global comparison of value for money of wines listed on Vivino. Per US dollar spent, South African wines offer relatively high value for money. However, Lebanon and Croatia offer higher average wine ratings when wine prices are expressed in common currency.
