Today’s post by Jason Vermaak and Johan Hanekom shows that for France Côte de Nuits Red, Côte de Beaune White tend to have the highest median price and highest median rating on Vivino. Viognier stands out as the lowest price-ratings category. For the United States, on the other hand, US Bordeaux Red, Cabernet Sauvignon and Rhône Red tend to have the highest median price and highest median rating on Vivino. Pinot Gris / Grigio stands out as the lowest price-ratings category.
In this earlier post we uncorked a global comparison of value for money of wines listed on Vivino. Per US dollar spent, South African wines offer relatively high value for money. However, Lebanon and Croatia offer higher average wine ratings when wine prices are expressed in common currency.
