World Competitiveness Rankings

South Africa has been assessed to rank 61th out of 64 countries considered in the IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook. The top rated country in terms of business efficiency, infrastructure, government efficiency and economic performance is Denmark, followed by Ireland and Switzerland. Several emerging market economies perform well in the survey in terms of how their governments have been supporting the resilience of their economies, notably Hong Kong, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Singapore.
