South Africa’s latest GDP release was accompanied by a revision in historical GDP outcomes. Our EconData platform makes it possible to easily assess revisions in publicly available macroeconomic and financial data. The chart shows that on release there has generally been initial under-estimation of GDP growth. Between 2021Q2-2022Q3 however, real GDP was over-estimated.
