Measured by the Economic Complexity Index (ECI), export sophistication reveals striking differences within the group. China leads by a significant margin, thanks to its highly diversified and technologically advanced export base. In contrast, Russia and South Africa lag behind, with exports still heavily weighted toward raw materials.
