A recent survey by OfferZen shows that more than half of South African developers work at fully remote companies and less than 10% of South African developers work traditional office jobs. Interestingly, most developers are based in the same city as the company they work for. Almost all developers prefer either hybrid or fully remote work. Most developers say they already work in their preferred office set-up, and interestingly, less than a fifth of office-based developers actually prefer full-time office work.
