Capital stock breakdown for SA

In an earlier post I showed that South Africa has a small capital stock for the relative size of our economy and a relatively large private capital stock compared to many advanced economies. Whereas IMF estimates suggest that the private sector represents almost 80% of South Africa’s totals capital stock, estimates from SARB suggest that the proportion is around 55%.
